Mr. Pattullo mentioned in the beginning of the vdo that CEVA logistics is the world’s 4th logistics company with a revenue around 7 Billion Euro. As an organization, there are 3 things the company stands for: Unity, Growth and Excellence.
He explained further that for Unity, the company has tried very hard to provide an integrated product for customers as they join up into a supply chain. Growth refers how CEVA wants to grow faster in the market and thirdly, by Excellence, CEVA determines to deliver the world best, smartest supply chain to our customers.
However, there’re also 2 other significant areas for development in a global logistics market 2011. Mr. Pattullo pointed out to firstly “operation excellence” since customers increasingly expect those engineer solutions that become more common among manufactories. This year, the company will continue to focus on operation excellence. Therefore, they will be launching a program called “sites classification” in which each sites of the company will be rated in order to create the company’s benchmark sites. In his opinion, these benchmark sites will become a truly best logistics sites in the world and Thailand has one of those as well.
Another thing in CEVA’s 2011 plan is integration. We can see that many companies have tried to optimize pieces of their supply chain. This is why CEVA has created CEVA’s end-to-end product where they will be looking at how to manage the whole supply chain more effectively for the customers. These are what we can expect from CEVA in the global logistics market in 2011.
