DB Schenker has developed a first of its kind distribution centre in Korea, and established integrated logistics services in Papua New Guinea.

DB Schenker has begun operations of a global distribution centre for Dutch company ASML in its Korea Logistics Centre in the Free Trade Zone at Incheon Airport near Seoul.

The 2,000 m2 temperature- and humidity-controlled ASML storage and handling area comprises an 80 m2 cleanroom, divided into an ISO Class 7 cleanroom, a buffer room and a gowning room, both ISO Class 8.

The cleanroom underwent stringent testing, which included a cleanliness certification, an airflow pattern test and Electro Static Discharge (ESD) measurements.

The distribution centre operates 24/7, 365 days a year.

DB Schenker started operations at this Korea Logistics Centre in 2006.

Schenker Australia and Schenker New Zealand have expand their services to Papua New Guinea through a non-exclusive sales and handling agreement with local partner Swift Agencies.

DB Schenker provides extensive service offerings in Papua New Guinea ranging from air and ocean freight to Lae and Port Moresby, customs clearance, door-to-door domestic distribution, warehousing and storage, to supply chain planning and supply chain management.

Transportation services offered include breakbulk, LCL, hazardous and dangerous goods, temperature-controlled cargo for cold chains, and project cargo.
