Formerly known as Navis World, the user-conference is renamed Zebra Enterprise Solutions World and will be held September 26-29, 2010, at the Palace Hotel in San Francisco.
More than 300 customers, partners and industry experts from around the world are expected to attend the conference. Solutions World will offer more than 60 sessions on the latest advancements in marine terminal and supply chain technologies, such as developments in automation technologies, asset visibility and security, and best practices for managing logistics, assets, inventory and cargo. In addition, ZES will unveil several new marine terminal operations technologies including, Navis General Cargo and ZES Maritime Telematics.
“We are thrilled to build off Navis World’s 16 years of success and re-launch the event under the Zebra umbrella as Zebra Enterprise Solutions World,” said Richard Harrison, Managing Director of Maritime at Zebra Enterprise Solutions. “Since the formation of ZES based on the acquisitions of Navis, WhereNet, proveo and Multispectral Solutions, we can now bring an even greater depth of insight, integrated products and tools to conference attendees.”
Global futurist, social scientist and business advisor Dr. James Canton, Chief Executive Office of the Institute for Global Finance in San Francisco, will give the conference’s keynote address on innovation trends that will shape the 21st century. Attendees can then attend a variety of sessions including panel discussions, customer case studies, and presentations from industry and business analysts.
Event supporters Motorola and APS Technology will be present at the conference as gold-level sponsors. ZES partners and vendors including ABB Crane Technology, AECOM, DRS Technologies, Konecranes, LXE, Sattel, TBA and TMEIC-GE will be exhibitors at the event.
“This conference brings together executives from around the globe at a critical time as the industry is recovering from the economic recession and is rapidly changing,” Harrison said. “Marine terminal professionals will have the opportunity to network and discuss pressing operations and logistics issues affecting them today and how to better prepare for the future through technological innovations.”
